- What the research demonstrates
- Previously
QuamCore is developing a superconducting processor architecture with digital control circuitry operating inside the cryogenic environment. The design targets two scaling constraints: heat dissipated by control electronics and the number of external connections. Its fabrication collaboration with SkyWater focuses on a superconducting single-flux-quantum controller chip, rather than an already operating million-qubit computer.
- Now
SkyWater confirms a November 2025 contract to co-develop fabrication for QuamCore’s superconducting digital controllers. The announcement places test-vehicle fabrication and cryogenic controller demonstrations in the following 12–18 months; it does not report an operating million-qubit computer.

- The next evidence question
- Previously
Measure controller heat load and qubit errors in an integrated cryogenic assembly.
- Now
Can an integrated cryogenic assembly deliver the proposed controller heat load and qubit-error performance?
