- What the research demonstrates
- Previously
OptQC is commercializing optical quantum computing developed from the University of Tokyo’s Furusawa laboratory. Its approach combines entangled light, Bell measurements and feedforward operations to implement computation through quantum teleportation. The first MoQuren system began initial operation at AIST in July 2026, while developer tooling and broader availability remain in preparation.
- Now
OptQC and AIST reported installation and initial operation of MoQuren at AIST’s G-QuAT in July 2026. The joint release identifies stable operation, ABCI-Q integration and developer tooling as continuing work ahead of broader hardware availability.

- The next evidence question
- Previously
Publish usable developer access and measured results for the installed system.
- Now
Can the installed system support documented developer access and reproducible hardware experiments?
