NanoQT: what changed.
The recorded research and its supporting evidence.

Research reviewed 12 Oct 2026What changed
- What the research demonstrates
- Previously
NanoQT develops fiber-coupled interfaces intended to connect otherwise separate quantum processors. Its nanofiber cavity brings atoms and light into strong interaction, translating processor information into photons that can travel through optical fiber. The initial product targets neutral-atom processors, with longer-term applications in modular computing and quantum repeaters.
- Now
NanoQT’s September 2025 funding announcement describes a nanofiber cavity-QED interconnect aimed first at neutral-atom processors. Productization and a distributed-computing demonstration using standard fiber links are listed as subsequent milestones, rather than completed system results.

- The next evidence question
- Previously
Demonstrate processor-to-processor operations over fiber with reported fidelity and throughput.
- Now
Can processor-to-processor operations over fiber achieve reproducible fidelity and useful throughput?
