- What the research demonstrates
- Previously
A June 2026 journal paper reports an eight-qubit experiment on Rigetti Ankaa-2, with up to 25 decoding rounds. A separate fast-feedback measurement achieved a 9.6-microsecond response for nine measurement rounds. A September 2026 Qblox/Riverlane integration exercises a real control-and-decoding loop with emulated measurement data. It is an integration test, not a live-qubit error-correction demonstration.

A June 2026 journal paper reports an eight-qubit experiment on Rigetti Ankaa-2, with up to 25 decoding rounds. A separate fast-feedback measurement achieved a 9.6-microsecond response for nine measurement rounds. In the separate September Qblox/Riverlane integration, the partners report a 6.886-microsecond round trip at code distance 3 and 11.886 microseconds at distance 9, including readout integration. That controller-decoder test used emulated qubit measurement data.

- What remains uncertain
- Previously
This is a scoped decoding and feedback demonstration. It does not establish a universal fault-tolerant computer or sustained utility-scale operation; hardware and code quality remain essential.
- Now
The September integration tests the physical controller-decoder path with emulated measurement data, so its latency results do not establish live-qubit error suppression. The separate qubit experiment is also scoped; neither establishes a complete fault-tolerant computer or utility-scale operation.
