What has been demonstrated

An ORNL/UTC campaign used EPB links to maintain polarization control for over 30 hours. The paper reports 0.94 ± 0.03 relative fidelity, while ORNL identifies the short metropolitan links and collaborating sites.

What remains unresolved

This assessment covers the network testbed, not the planned computing facility. One research campaign does not establish an all-purpose quantum internet or a commercial uptime guarantee.

Can further deployments report longer operating periods, changing loss conditions and independently reproduced multi-vendor workloads?
