Superconducting gate-model quantum computers

Who should look closer

Developers building calibrated circuits and research organizations exploring quantum integration with high-performance computing.

QubitWire’s editorial assessment of practical fit.

Cloud and installed systems

IQM’s client guide explains Resonance account access and backend calibration. VTT also offers its installed Q50 through QX; access terms depend on the provider.

DOCUMENTED EVIDENCE

What has been demonstrated

External researchers studied 250 days of Q-Exa operation and validated circuit performance. VTT separately reports real-time Q50 execution for a gaming demonstration.

What remains unresolved

Results on Q-Exa and VTT Q50 apply to those systems and test conditions. Calibration variation affects circuit performance; future larger-machine announcements are not treated as completed delivery.

The next question to watch

Can broader independent workload studies show reproducible improvements as system size increases, while accounting for calibration, sampling and classical processing?

A research question, not a promised milestone.
