A practical way to show your skills
Build a toy two-node coordination service with simulated delay, missing messages and clock uncertainty. Label observations and inferences separately. Present it as a distributed-systems exercise, not a working quantum network.
Show an interface specification, a simulation with explicit assumptions or a system-test plan. Include failure states and observability. Evidence should explain what an operator can know from the data, especially when a remote component becomes unavailable.

- What measurements define success across the link?
- How are failures localized between nodes and subsystems?
A useful first-month focus: Map the interfaces and measurement path, reproduce a link-level report and learn how the team diagnoses cross-node failures.
