A practical way to show your skills
Write a fictional device-iteration case. Separate instrument, process and design hypotheses. Propose a test for each and state which result would change the decision. Keep the exercise conceptual, without fabrication instructions.
Present an example that links a device question to a measurable test and then to an engineering decision. Annotate uncertainty and confounding factors. A redacted experimental plan can demonstrate judgment without disclosing a proprietary fabrication process.

- Who owns the design-to-fabrication interface?
- How are measurement and process uncertainties separated?
A useful first-month focus: Learn the device vocabulary used by the team, trace one design iteration and understand how experimental evidence is recorded.
Keep the limits in view
Conventional semiconductor experience is relevant only where responsibilities overlap. Do not infer a specific quantum-device platform from a broad title.
