Measuring exponential bit-flip suppression
Lescanne was first author of an experiment encoding a qubit in a superconducting resonator with two-photon dissipation. Separating the encoded states reduced bit flips exponentially while increasing phase flips only linearly, establishing a deliberately biased noise model.
