Direct cloud and Amazon Braket

IonQ lists Forte 1 and Forte Enterprise 1 as available 36-qubit backends. AWS independently lists both as Braket devices. Aria and Harmony hardware are retired; account permissions and device status still apply.

What has been demonstrated

An IonQ/Synopsys preprint integrates a quantum graph-partitioning routine with LS-DYNA and includes Forte hardware experiments. Larger simulations use classical GPUs; reported runtime gains depend on reusing a computed ordering over many subsequent solves.

What remains unresolved

The study's gains depend on the chosen baseline and amortization assumptions. Simulations up to 150 qubits are not 150-qubit Forte hardware runs, and the result is not universal quantum advantage.

The next question to watch

Can independent teams reproduce a net workflow benefit against strong classical alternatives after including quantum execution, data movement and repeated-use assumptions?

A research question, not a promised milestone.
